Why we chose Maine
and why we love Southwest Harbor:

We enjoy Maine for its low population density, fresh air, crisp mornings, high wildlife population, its pristine lakes, ponds, rivers and the hearty Mainers you come in contact with.  The Atlantic’s bounty of seafood, shell fish and of course the iconic Maine lobster.Southwest Harbor appealed to us with its quiet no nonsense approach to daily living.

Lobstermen and women going about their routines before the break of dawn with thick fog roiling over the harbor from the East.  Working boats loading up cargo for delivery to the isolated islands off the coast.  Yachtsmen and women moving to and fro in various sailing and motor yachts leaving white trails in their wake.  While tall ships gracing the harbor displaying flags from varied foreign lands.

Lastly, we admire the rugged Coast Guard vessels and their hardy crews who brave the most punishing elements to ensure vessels and their passengers are safely escorted out of harms way.
This is our special place. We hope to share it with you!
